Ever wonder what barriers a person with a disability in Moose Jaw may encounter?  Here is your chance to test your abilities, have fun and impress your families and co-workers.  Wakamow Valley is holding a “Walk a Mile” corporate challenge to raise funds for our interactive, completely wheelchair accessible playground structure.

Here’s a chance to gain some insight into what it may be like for a person with a disability to navigate around our town.  Teams of four will pay a $100 fee and then compete with each other to complete a series of tasks.  The challenges will total a distance of one mile.  The winning team will be awarded a unique trophy, crafted courtesy of Wakamow Valley residents.  They will also hold bragging rights.

A concession will be available for spectators and participants.

All proceeds from this event will go towards building a fully accessible playgroup structure so that all individuals are able to enjoy beautiful Wakamow Valley.  Come with three friends or  co-workers as a team, and walk a mile in the shoes of a person with a disability.
